Our mission: never to forget
This site was built to keep a promise: Never to Forget. The memorial was initially started in 2000 by Dr. Ron Kraus in memory of his father, Otto (Ota) B. Kraus, and other relatives, but also allowed the public to register memorials for free. In 2018 a remembrance museum called Beit Terezin appointed Dr. Kraus to be head of the online commemoration project. Many years ago, Ron?€™s father was one of the founders of the museum, which is a non for profit entity.
Currently, the memorial site serves both victims commemorated by the museum as well as the general public, including individuals, families, groups and organizations. We do this as a long term commemoration service for the community. Unfortunately, every family has someone to remember.
As a non for profit, all proceeds generated by the Beit Terezin online memorial project are only used to keep the initiative operational for many years to come.
